David Crawford is a proven leader with a lifetime of public service experience.  For more than 35 years, he has served as a volunteer firefighter in local communities, and is the Fire Chief of the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company. He has led in moments when decisions matter most; protecting lives, coordinating teams under pressure, and earning the trust of the communities he serves. His leadership is grounded in action, accountability, and a deep understanding of public safety, making him uniquely prepared to guide the county through both everyday challenges and critical events.

Beyond public service, David has built a successful 40-year career in business, working closely with owners and operators to help them grow, adapt, and thrive in a competitive economy. Dave understands the importance of listening, collaboration, and the vital role that local businesses play in our communities. He understands firsthand the challenges local businesses face because he has been in the trenches with them; helping to create jobs and accounts, strengthening operations, and expanding opportunities. That experience has given Dave a practical, results-driven approach to economic development and a commitment to making Anne Arundel County a place where businesses succeed and communities prosper.

At his core, David is a family man who understands the values that matter most to county residents. With his wife, Lori, a retired Anne Arundel County special education teacher, Dave understands firsthand the importance of strong education.
